A volunteer organization that acts as extra eyes and ears for the County Sheriff.





Do you live in the Parachute area, and find it hard to get down to Glenwood for Sheriff related business?  The Garfield County Sheriff’s Auxiliary may be able to help.  At the Auxiliary you can obtain services such as:

  • VIN inspections
  • Request vacation house checks
  • Register and Purchase a dog license
  • Register a bicycle
  • Request help with traffic control for events

Besides providing these services, the Sheriff’s Auxiliary also patrols the Battlement Mesa area in a volunteer police cruiser and helps as area schools crossing guards.

The Garfield County Sheriff’s Auxiliary is a an organization made up completely of volunteers that are dedicated to helping citizens obtain needed services in a professional and united setting that is close to home.  To be able to provide these services, the Auxiliary hosts an annual golf tournament as their only fundraiser.
