Visitation Hours
Daily –
- 8:00 am to 11:00 am
- 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Public Visitation
Public video visitation booths are located in the Jail Reception room on the North side of the building. Booths are available on a first come, first serve basis. Each visit is 15 minutes in length and you may only visit 1 inmate per day. Please adhere to the posted visitation rules in order to have a successful visit.
Internet Video Visitation
Video Visitation is available through the internet or by downloading a mobile phone app, which will require setting up an account with gettingout.com. This type of visitation is fee-based. Quality of the visitation may be degraded or disconnected due to the connection speed/quality of your internet service, your computer specifications and/or strength of your wireless/mobile connection signal.
Inmates housed at this facility are responsible for notifying visitors of the available times they are able to conduct visits. Not all inmates are available during regular video visitation times. Inmates undergoing a disciplinary sanction will not be available to conduct a visit. Garfield County Sheriff’s Office employees cannot pass messages or check to see is available for visitation. When connecting a visit, the housing pod kiosk in which the inmates resides will alert to an incoming visit. The inmates must both be available at this time an choose to accept the visit. Video Messages are also available to leave for an inmate at any time.
Visitor Conduct
Inappropriate conduct during the visit may result in both the termination of the visit and a suspension of visitation privileges for a designated length of time.
Visitors may not wear revealing clothing, attempt to show sensitive body parts, display gang related material or use another device to initiate third party communication.
Food or beverages are NOT permitted in the Public Jail Reception room.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to terminate a visit, and/or suspend/ban a visitor for reasons that jeopardize the safety and security of this facility.
Professional Visits
Approved professional visitors (including but not limited to members of the criminal justice system and clergy) may visit during non-lockdown hours, if staff and space are available. Scheduling a visit is recommended to help ensure the appropriate timeslot is reserved for the visit. Facility needs will be considered a priority and visits may be denied or cancelled at any time.
Inmates are required to know the name of their legal representation, the firm that is representing them or who they are seeking representation from in order to have a professional visit. If the inmate does not know this information, the visit will not be allowed.
