The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is currently comprised of four Investigators supervised by the Investigations Commander, with the combined skill of over 45 years of law enforcement experience.

The Investigations Division is both a reactive and a proactive unit covering all aspects of criminal investigation.

Investigators are involved with felony level cases which may include: Burglary, Theft, Sexual Assault, Arson, Assaults, Homicide and Death Investigations, Financial Crimes, Computer Crimes, Crimes against Children, and additional crimes and general law enforcement duties.

The Investigations Division provides support and actively works with SPEAR – Special Problems Enforcement and Response (formerly Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team).

The Investigations Division has multiple crime scene investigation and evidentiary processing capabilities, with additional capabilities to be acquired in the future.
